Insight: Your kids choke, your neta ducks
Fifty three days after a massive fire in a dumping ground choked the Maximum City, another fire has engulfed the same dumping ground. The fire which began yesterday evening still continues; 12 fire tenders are at the spot to control the blaze.
In an exact turn of events, a thick cover of smog is back, choking the Maximum City for the second time in 2 months. All schools near Deonar have been shut while residents again left gasping for breath. Once again, the administration has been caught napping, the promises which were made after the first fire in January have not been fulfilled.
Instead of answering some straight questions, the netas are busy deflecting the blame. Maharashtra's Environment Minister Ramdas Kadam believes it's nothing but a conspiracy against his party, which is the Shiv Sena before the BMC elections. The big question is, for how long Mumbai will be subjected to breathe the killer air? Who will take the responsibility for the maximum mess?
