Dengue fever has gone viral nowadays and the national capital has already witnessed death of two kids as they were not given admission to the well-known hospitals. While on hand, 7-year-old Avinash succumbed to the disease after the hospitals did not entertain him last week; another case of 6-year-old Aman was also reported where he also died because of the same reason.
Aman’s parents while speaking to NewsX also mentioned that the doctors claimed that Aman was not suffering dengue and therefore he need not be admitted. “They gave us in written that our child did not suffer from dengue,” they said.
It is important to understand the symptoms of Dengue are quite similar to the symptoms that we suffer in viral infection or flu.

•Sudden, high fever
•Pain behind the eyes
•Severe joint and muscle pain
The dengue infection spreads after being bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus and the incubation period ranges from three to 15 days before the signs of dengue start appearing in its different stages.
The fever starts with chills, headache, pain upon moving the eyes and pain in lower back. Your legs and joints start paining in the initial hours of illness, while your temperature rises quickly as high as 104 F with relatively low heart rate and low blood pressure.
At times, you may also witness redness in eyes and a flushing or pale pink rash that would come over the face and then disappear. The lymph nodes in the neck too can be felt during the illness.
Fever along with other symptoms of dengue last for two to four days followed by a rapid drop in body temperature with excessive sweating.
