The iconic American pony car has been finally launched in India. After more than half a century of existence, the Ford Mustang enters the country with a base price of Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom).

This is the sixth generation of the car and for the first time ever the Mustang has a right hand drive avatar, thereby making its India debut possible. Ford says the Mustang is a perfect combination of sophistication and high performance.  And what better place than India’s Formula 1 marvel, the Buddh International circuit to sample the sports car for the first time. NewsX motoring correspondent Shams Naqvi did exactly that.
