What held back India 70 years?

Steps taken by this Govt is bigger than taken in last 70 years by any central Govt.

It is right first step to

It is right first step to approach Russian government to declassify all information on Nethaji that will end all speculation on his death and the role of all successive governments post 1945.

Netaji files in Russia

I was the one who brought up the subject of the secret files kept in Russia in my presentation before PM Modi on 14th January. My elder cousin former MP Subrata Bose ( who is now unwell) and I were the only 2 members of the Bose family who visited Russia with the Justice Mukherjee Commission in 2005. As such I said we had seen 2 dossiers in their Archives, one on Subhas Bose and one Sarat Bose which contained information of their speeches and movements up till 1943. The cover file had a list of the documents , some of which had crosses against them. We were told these were classified and could only be revealed by a formal request from our PM to their PM. After I mentioned this, PM Modi took this up in his speech and assured the family that he would write to the Russian PM and do whatever was necessary to declassify the secret files. He also mentioned that he would take this up when he visits Russia in December. External Affairs Minister Sm Sushma Swaraj was present at the meeting and the alacrity with which the she has now raised the matter with the Russian Foreign Minister shows the PM and the government is intent on pursuing the matter.
