Nation At 9: PM Modi pitches Digital and Make In India in UK

British Prime Minister David Cameron said the UK firmly supported India’s bid for a permanent seat the UN Security Council. Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Cameron for supporting India’s UNSC bid. Cameron further said that Indian and UK companies would be announcing ventures worth over £9 billion. The Prime Minister said India has signed a civil nuclear deal with Britain. On the issue of intolerance, Modi said that the government was committed to protecting normal life of citizens and that incidents against citizens would not be tolerated.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in United Kingdom for a three-day visit as a guest of his British counterpart, David Cameron. After their bilateral talks at 10 Downing Street, he addressed a joint press conference with David Cameron at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London. He also addressed the British Parliament.
