Over the next twenty five minutes or so you will hear the sensational claims of one of India's most distinguished police officers Neeraj Kumar. Mr Kumar who has served in numerous high positions has made some startling claims about India's most wanted fugitive Dawood Ibrahim. These claims are part of his book on the underworld don and Mr Kumar tells us that his bosses for no real specified reason asked him to stop talking to Dawood. In his telephone conversations the underworld Don had incidentally begun to open up to Mr Kumar on the 1993 Mumbai blasts roughly a year after the deadly terror strike.
The admission comes on the back of claims by Rk Singh a former union home secretary and a BJP Mp who said that Mumbai Cops were in Cahoots with the underworld and had sabotaged several operations to apprehend Dawood. Mr Kumar's comments are also in consonance with top notch Criminal Lawyer ram Jethmalani who famously claimed that Sharad Pawar refused to entertain Dawood's offer to surrender on flimsy grounds. The latest revelations will only spawn more demands to launch a probe into these claims and just why certain elements have been averse to engaging with Dawood directly.
