Cong rejects 'Anti-National' tag

Sukhbir Badal spoke to NewsX and accused Rahul Gandhi of stoking unrest and using a devious policy to create or manufacture trouble in his State by getting close to pro-Khalistani  voices.

Congress replied with a phrase of their own. Former Punjab CM, Amarinder Singh called it an effort at "controlled destabilisation" by the Badal Govt to divert attention from failures of the Govt. This sets the stage for a potentially explosive debate that will set national agenda for the next few days.

Launching an all out attack on the Congress, Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal called the party anti-national. Badal accused Congress of showing its true colours by sharing stage with pro-Khalistan group at a rally in Amritsar.

The Deputy CM said a delegation of his party will today meet President Pranab Mukherjee and ask him to declare the Congress an anti-national party.
