Today is the 7th anniversary of the deadly 26/11 attacks that took place in Mumbai. On this day in 2008 Pakistan launched attacks on Indian soil via its proxies. The attacks left deep scars.
Ever since that day India had decided that it couldn't be business as usual with Pakistan, at least not till the day it delivers justice to those who were Martyred in the attacks.
So it is particularly insulting to the memory of the Martyrs that today the Indian Government has sent out signals that it will be resuming Cricketing ties with Pakistan.
What prompts this stupendously insensitive u-turn on the anniversary of 26/11? Especially, when one considers that the Modi Government has made it almost a mission to put terror ahead of any sort of engagement with Pakistan.
What has changed? Some say it is greed. But it is hard to imagine that a Government would stake its credibility to fill Pakistan Cricket's coffers when Islamabad should actually be paying for breeding terror against India.
