Nation at 9: DDCA hitsback with libel suit

The Aam Aadmi party today escalated their attack on Arun Jaitley by holding a press conference professing to have accessed two letters written by the top NDA minister in 2011 urging high ups in the Delhi police to close an investigation into an alleged irregularity in the working of a club under the aegis of the DDCA.

The AAP claims that the letters prove for the first time that Mr Jaitley was directly linked to the irregularities in the DDCA. While the finance minister has not commented, the BJP came out in strong defence accusing the AAP of shoot and scoot.

Arun Jaitley had earlier filed a defamation case against the Delhi Chief Minister for allegedly making false accusations against him.
