Nine days to go for talks but Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif is yet to verify or clarify what action his government is taking to bring the handlers of the terrorists who were behind the mayhem in Pathankot.
The Indian government which needs to take a stand seems to be dithering on the fate of the FS-level interaction. It has left the onus of talks on Sharif by suggesting that Pakistan's response will decide whether the dialogue continues.
But experts say that India's stand is neither here nor there. India needs to seize the initiative, set a deadline, and drive the narrative. Anything short of definite action will be seen as a sign of weakness.
