Hurt those who hurt us. Sending out a strong message, the defence minister Manohar Parrikar asserted that any individual or organisation causing pain to India should be paid back in the same coin, but how, when and where should be decided by India.
The minister said that he was pained by the death of soldiers during the Pathankot attack and felt that history tells us that until those who inflict damage on others experience the same pain, they don't change. His remarks have started a massive debate over whether an eye-for-an-eye approach is perhaps the only answer to stop the terror perpetrators.
