48 hours after PhD research Dalit scholar Rohit Vemula committed suicide after being relentlessly persecuted in the University of Hyderabad, the fires continue to rage on across the country even as fresh evidence is unearthed about how the University ignored pointed warning signs coming from Rohit, and succumbed to what could be pressure from the HRD ministry, the tragedy has now been transformed into a political spectacle. 
With delegations of the JD(U) and TMC set to reach the campus, Rahul Gandhi too met the victim's family and friends. 
When Rohith Vemula committed suicide by hanging himself in a university hostel room, little did people realise that his demise would impend in such a national outrage across the country.
