Insight: But netas back traitors?
India you will be torn to pieces; we want freedom; Afzal your murder will start a revolution. Afzal wanted freedom; Kashmir demands freedom. This is what they spewed; this is what some netas and intellectuals are defending in the name of freedom of expression.
Now which constitution in the world would justify this. Stand under the Eiffel tower and praise the ISIS and chances are under the emergency act that has been invoked you'll be in jail. Stand before the Washington Memorial and praise Osama bin Laden and find out what the American government will do to you. You don't even need to go that far; just stand up in a plane and whisper the word ISIS, Al-Qaeda and see where that gets you.
In the UK the government has called upon universities in the aftermath of the rise of the ISIS to put under observation students who hold radical views and report them to government agencies.
But in India netas are defending the destruction of India's freedom.
NewsX wants to ask what definition of patriotism justifies the backing of a terrorist and their agents? Justifies the killing of innocent Indians and brave jawans in the name of freedom of speech?
