The judgment passed by an Italian high court rules that kickbacks to a tune of almost a 1000 crores were paid to various officials of the UPA regime including babus, the ex-air chief SP Tyagi and his kin as also a plethora of leaders thought to be close to UPA chief Sonia Gandhi.
But what will worry the Congress more is that the court severely indicts the UPA for showing substantial disregard to help Italian authorities in connection with arriving at the truth in the Agusta kickback case.
While this judgment is a jolt for the UPA, the BJP is seeking answers on where the kickback trail ended. As if rubbing salt into the wounds of the Congress, BJP termed it a party of scams.
Moreover NDA ministers have gone on record to seek answers from the Congress top brass. The Congress on its part has hit back by calling it a grandstanding without any shred of evidence.
