Nation At 9: Saffron terror a sham?

Sadhvi Pragya was termed as the face of Hindu terror by the then UPA govt in 2009 and 7 years later, the NIA in its supplementary charge sheet filed today in NIA court, has dropped all charges against her and 5 others accused of terror charges. The NIA has also watered down its case against Colonel Purohit and dropped the stringent MCOCA. The charge sheet that NewsX has accessed vindicates NewsX report on Hindu terror sham and saffron terror, terms coined under the UPA regime and perpetuated by no less than the then Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
In its charge sheet, the NIA has said that sufficient evidences were not found against Sadhvi Pragya and that the prosecution's case, first probed by the Maharashtra ATS, is not maintainable. When the court asked the agency about its earlier stand of opposing the bail plea of Sadhvi Pragya, the NIA said that since its probe was not complete, they were relying on the probe done by the ATS. The Congress attacked the NIA decision to drop charges against Sadhvi Pragya and five others and said that it was an attempt by the govt to dilute the case to save saffron leaders. The govt has dismissed the allegation denying any interfere in the investigation by the agencies.

Nation At 9: Saffron terror a sham?

I know from the beginning this is a fabricated case to get support from minorities during 2009 election. He made a dead man ( Sunil Joshi) has number one accused in this case. He did not investigate after the murder of Sunil Joshi who took his motor cycle from his uncle house . Sadhvi Pragya repeatedly told the ATS that her motor cycle sold to Sunil Joshi in the year 2004. While arresting Lt. Col . Purohit, investigating agencies said that he supplied RDX for manufacturing bomb in Malegaon blast . Only very few people know that there were two bomb blasts in that area in 2006 and 29th Sept 2008. In 2006 bomb blast the terrorist used RDX and the investigating agencies ruled out any involvement of Hindu Nationalist groups like the Bajrang Dal in the 2006 Malegaon blast saying RDX is available only to Islamist outfits. Lt. Col Purohit was arrested for ‘masterminding’ 2008 Malegaon blast and for supplying RDX. But in 2008 RDX was not used in the blast. It was a low-intensity bomb kept on a Hero Honda motorcycle which went off near a mosque at the Muslim-dominated Sukka Bazaar. The incident took place around 21:26 when special Ramzan prayers (tarawih) were being offered inside the mosque.[13]. 29th Sept 2008 was a Navratri Day. Terrorists planted 20 bombs in different places in Maharashtra and Gujarat . Out of that, two were planted in Malegaon \and one at Madasa,Gujarat which went off and caused death and injury to the people. Police was able to defuse 17 bombs. If there was only one blast at Malegaon then investigating agencies can doubt that it was done by Hindu nationalists. So on 29th Sept 2008, who planted the other 18 bombs ? No Hindu organization is destructive enough to plant bombs in their own beloved country on their own festival, or anybody else’s, because Hindu organizations do not believe in bomb culture. Like an ordinary person like me was able to see many flaws in the investigation.
