Election Commission had to serve notice to DMK and AIADMK for their unrealistic manifestos questioning how the poll promises with gigantic financial implications will be fulfilled. Polls in Aravakurichi have been postponed till May 23 as there have been reports of widespread bribery with crores of rupees and ambulances used to ferry them seized.
A PMK candidate Balu from Ulundurpettai was caught on cam showering money on election observers while protesting little action despite allegations of corruption. All these incidents raise one question – is this an election with one ultimate goal of grabbing power with no regard for ethics or democracy itself? Here's a report.
