Hard work and their tenacity bore fruition a month ago when the board results were declared. Students prepared themselves for a tedious process of selection in various universities across India with Delhi University topping their list. After the first blow of a high cut-off list, little could they imagine that quota row will hit them hard.
Kejriwal is back to the tried and tested formula of playing the domicile vs outsiders card. The AAP govt has proposed many a times at least 5% relaxation for Delhiites, drawing a clear divide between the localites and the outsiders, a move to gain favour from 1.7 crore Delhiites.
While some laud Kejriwal's outreach, others express dismay. Students are petrified with the proposed domicile-based reservation in Delhi University. They vehemently oppose the DU for the Delhi trend AAP government is pushing just for their appeasement tactics. A step-motherly attitude has left the pan-national students fuming, but Kejriwal upholds Delhi over the rest.
Is Kejriwal so blinded by his appeasement policy that he forgets other fellow students whose merit won't be glorified but their domicile will be prioritised?
Is this not belittling the merit?
