What would you call individuals who call for an uprising against the Indian state? What would you call individuals who take orders from Pakistan to bleed India? What would you call individuals who celebrate the death of an Indian brave but mourn the extermination of a terrorist. Would you call them reasonable stakeholders in the democratic polity of a state or would you call them traitors? Should those who are morally and politically supported by India's sworn enemies that is traitors be courted by the Indian state?
Can those who instigate youth to pelt stones, snatch rifles out of the hands of security forces be considered a part of the solution in a political crisis? Can those who celebrate the death of a terrorist as a martyr be expected to suddenly swear by the Constitution?
Most of you would answer in the negative. So then why are parliamentarians pushing the Narendra Modi government to hold talks with these elements -these anti India traitors?
