Despite all attempts by the Centre to set the record straight, there continues to be more controversy over the surgical strikes by the Indian army.
A media report claiming that foreign secretary Jaishankar, in a briefing to a parliamentary panel, admitted that the surgical strikes were not 'unprecedented' has kicked off a storm. Meanwhile sources to NewsX have claimed that all the foreign secretary claimed that going public with such a surgical strike was indeed unprecedented, especially given its politico-military message.
