Nation at 9: Rs. 27 Lakh per day spent for dinner in Karnataka Assembly in Belagavi in 2014

It’s the great Indian food apartheid, while our tribal kids are fed Chikkis mixed with clay, Karnataka Ministers and MLAs spent more than 3.25 crore rupees just for their feast during a 10 day session of the Karnataka Assembly in Belagavi in 2014. An RTI has revealed that MLAs spent 40 lakhs on lunch, 7 lakhs for bottled water, 2 lakhs, 50 thousand on snacks, and wait for this. Rs 2 crores 76 lakhs just on the MLAs dinner, that's nearly 27 Lakh per day just for the dinner. Various hotels were booked and Ministers made the exchequer shell out Rs. 3.25 crore for their dinner and stay. While the entire region of north Karnataka struggles for drinking water the Ministers and Netas spent Rs. 7 Lakh just for bottled drinking water.
