24th December 1999 is etched in our memories as the day when terror took over the lives of 176 passengers of an Indian airlines flight. Not to mention their families and we all know what happened eventually with the government of the day releasing three dreaded and hardened militants to secure the release of all Indians on board. But not before an agonising wait and moments of despair, there is now a version of events that is raising a political storm over the action taken by the government.
