MUMBAI: In an order that is sure to relieve many, a Mumbai Court on Wednesday announced death sentence for five convicts in the 7/11 Mumbai train blasts.
The group has been sentenced to death for planting bombs in the Mumbai local trains in July 2006 that killed 189 people while injuring over 800.
The convicts were found guilty of terrorist activities and mass murder earlier this month.
Demanding death penalty for all eight convicts, the prosecution tagged them as ‘merchant of death’.
On the other hand, claiming that their family members are innocent, the convicts’ kin have claimed of moving to High Court to raise their voice against the decision of the court.
