Sheena Case: Indrani's custody extended

MUMBAI: In another development to the Sheena Bora murder mystery, the judicial custody of all three acuused in the case including her mother Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyanvar Rai has been extended to October 19 by a Mumbai court.
 
Their last judicial custody of 14 days ended on Monday.
 
Indrani is currently admitted to the JJ Hospital after she collapsed on Friday afternoon reportedly due to drug overdose. While Khanna and Rai appeared over video link, the defence and prosecution lawyers were present in the court while Khanna and Rai appeared over video link.
 
The high-profile murder case was taken away from the Mumbai Police last month and given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as the Maharshtra government to make certain an impartial probe.
 
Sheena Bora was murdered on April 24, 2012, allegedly by Indrani Mukerjea, Sanjeev Khanna and Shyanvar Rai who disposed off her partly burnt body in the forests in Raigad district.
 
The accused were arrested from Mumbai and Kolkata in September.
