Patanjali and Future Group collaboration; Baba Ramdev to launch 'Maggi-like' noodles

NEW DELHI: Future Group, led by Kishore Biyani, announced on Friday, that it has entered into a business partnership with Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Ayurved to engage in the sale of its products.
Biyani was quite confident about clocking a business worth ₹ 1000 crore in the next 20 months.
The Founder and CEO of Future Group said, “With Unilever we have a business of ₹ 1,300–1,400 crore. I think Patanjali can easily achieve that."
Biyani is hopeful that Patanjali products will bring them business worth ₹30–40 crore in a month, which will later increase to ₹ 80 crore per month.
All the Future Group retail outlets in 240 cities will be selling the Patanjali products. They are also going to set up an office for collaboration in Haridwar.
Baba Ramdev told media, “We wanted to partner a 'Swadeshi' retail chain. Indigenous products should get more respect. We provide world-class quality products at low prices. Hence, customers are benefited from it. We will partner with Future Group in manufacturing also, wherever possible." Talking about Patanjali’s progress he said that its business would cross ₹ 5000 crore by the end of 2015–2016 fiscal year. Having an inclination towards the welfare of society, Baba Ramdev said that the profit generated would be channelized to the education, healthcare, yoga and ayurveda sector.
Patanjali Noodles is also set to be launched on 15th October. It will be offered at a price of ₹ 15 and Baba Ramdev has claimed that it will have no added lead or MSG.
The catchline for Patanjali Noodles will be “Jhat Pat Pakao, aur Befikr Khao.”
