Kejriwal hits the Centre via Jaitley’s post
NEW DELHI: Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley’s blog regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on National Judicial Appointments Commission Act was used by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to attack the NDA Government.

Kejriwal used the same point as mentioned by Jaitley. Kejriwal said that too much interference of the Centre into the functioning of Delhi does not let the elected government to do its duty. He meant to say that this is what the government in the Centre do with them, the same is happening with them now.

Days after the Supreme Court turned down the NJAC Act, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley expressed his disappointment over the decision of the Supreme Court.

Jaitley expressed his views in a Facebook post titled “The NJAC Judgement-An Alternative View?” Although he opposed the decision of Supreme Court but at the end mentioned in the disclaimer- “The views expressed are personal.”

Jaitley said, “Having read the opinion of the five Hon’ble Judges, a few issues arise in my mind.”

Not happy with the decision, he further added, “The judgement ignores the larger constitutional structure of India.”

Terming the logic of the Supreme Court’s reasoning “erroneous,” the Union Finance Minister Jaitley said, “Indian Democracy cannot be a tyranny of the unelected.”
