NEW DELHI: It seems that the dog analogy has taken a new turn and a war of words has cropped up in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following the Bihar Assembly Elections debacle as Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha on Tuesday reverted to senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya’s dor remark.

Escalating the war, Sinha on his Twitter wall wrote, “People want my reaction to Vijayvargiya's remark. My reaction to small or big flies in any party is "Haathi chale Bihar,....bhaunken hazaar.”

Vijayvargiya on Monday fired a fresh round aiming at the Bollywood actor turned politician and said, “Shatrughan Sinha's identity is because of BJP. The party is not identified because of Shatrughan Sinha.”

Going against the recent comments of the actor criticizing the functioning of the saffron party and its strategy in Bihar Assembly Elections, Vijayvargiya added, “Dog runs after car and he thinks that the car is moving because of him...party doesn't run with a single person's efforts.”

Warning his colleague Sinha to ‘take care of his discipline’, Vijayvargiya expressed that it is the duty of the members to give something to the party.

On one hand, where Vijayvargiya is being slammed by the Opposition for his remarks, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on the other cautioned party leaders against using such language.

Expressing displeasure over his dog remarks, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said, “BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijavargiya has compared Shatrughan Sinha with a DOG. Strongly condemn it.”

Supporting Singh’s comments, National Congress Party leader Majeed Memon said, “This kind of statement is uncalled for and unfortunate. On one hand we see Arun Jaitley who attributes defeat in Bihar to bad mouth, now this bad mouth thing is continuing. This is yet another example of sheer intolerance and arrogance.”

The comments from Vijayvargiya came after Sinha met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna after their astounding victory in Bihar polls.
