New Delhi: French Ambassador Mr. Francois Richier condemned Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan’s remarks on the Paris terror attacks.

Khan justified the attacks by saying, “European cities have been lit up with the ill-gotten wealth from the oil reserves of the Middle East”.

Azam Khan also said, “Killing innocents, no matter who does it, is a highly deplorable act”.

“It’s an act of war,” the French Envoy said.

BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh reacting on Azams’ remark over the Paris attacks said, “It has put India and its fight against terror in a bad light. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav must condemn Azam’s remark and should keep a check on him.”

Commenting on Azam’s statements, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said, “Azam’s statement does not represent a civilized person.”
