Swamy alleges Rahul of dual citizenship; Congress jumps to his defence

After senior BJP leader, Subramanian Swamy showed documents proof to claim Rahul Gandhi is British, Congress snubs the charges saying that it the government’s attempt to slander the leader’s image.
The Congress has hit back at BJP by relieving some documents that show Rahul as an Indian national.
Jumping to Rahul Gandhi’s defence, Congress slammed Swamy’s charges. Ajay Maken, President, Delhi Congress Committee said, “Swamy’s habit to make such comments.”
UK government has defended Rahul Gandhi saying that there might be discrepancies in the document submitted. There is a possibility of an error as they did not verify the documents.
Yesterday itself, Swamy accused Congress vice-President Rahul Gandhi of enjoying dual citizenship. Swamy Alleged that Rahul is registered as a British citizen in the list of directors in a UK company.
Swamy said, “My demand is that the Prime Minister immediately initiates action for stripping Mr. Rahul Gandhi off the citizenship of India for which he should be issued a show cause notice by the home ministry.
