CM Jayalalithaa takes stock of flood-hit areas in Chennai

 Jayalalithaa conducts aerial view of Chennai
Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today took stock of the flood situation in Chennai and its suburban areas.  
 
She conducted an aerial survey of the city in a chopper. The CM is also scheduled to chair a high-level meet.
 
PM Modi who just arrived in Chennai will also be conducting an aerial view of the worst affected areas of the city. The Centre has already released 509 crores as immediate relief. 
 
The Centre and State have joined hands to speed relief work in the State. The two leaders are expected to meet late in the afternoon today.
 
The city has seen the worst rains in the past century.
