The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slammed the Congress saying that democracy can't function according to people's whims. PM Modi has warned that democracy today is facing a challenge from people's whims and money power.
Modi made the comments while urging the opposition to let the Parliament function, stating that apart from the GST, many other reforms have been stalled which are impacting the poor. His comments come after Congress-led protests over the National Herald issue has seen both houses being stalled in the Winter Session.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has hit out at Congress saying the National Herald crisis is of its own making. There is no government role so why stall the Parliament then.
