Mumbai Double Murder Case: Hema Upadhyay’s husband arrested
Mumbai: In a sensational twist to the double murder case of Hema Upadhyay and her advocate Harish Bhambhani, Hema’s estranged husband Chintan Upadhyay has been arrested.
Chintan Upadhyay is now in the police custody and Hema’s kin allege Chintan play in the murder along with the others.  This is the fourth arrest so far in the case.
Mumbai Police is looking for another person named Rajbhar who Hema Upadhyay last spoke to, who absconded right after the murder.
One of the reasons believed to be the reason behind the murder is the recent HC order which demanded payment for their Juhu home. Also, it is reported that Chintan mentally harassed Hema for almost a decade.
Chintan has been charged with criminal conspiracy, murder and destruction of evidence.  It is believed that he conspired with Rajbhar for executing this double murder. He would be produced by the crime branch in the Borivali Metropolitan court.
Internationally acclaimed artist and painter, Hema Upadhyaya, and her lawyer, Harish Bhambhani’s bodies were found stuffed in a box in a drain in Kandivali on December 12, 2015.
