As we take a look at the year gone by, we would be discussing the highs and lows of 2015. Technically, 2015 should have been a year of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s honeymoon period, but somehow the events and circumstances and the way it changed have overtaken the emotion and it’s not been as good as it ought to have been for him.
Events such as awards being returned by scientists, artists and writers and incidents of intolerance sparking all over the nation, was what dominated the development agenda of the government. Also spats between the opposition and ruling groups in parliament cost the government its performance. The present government may have come to power based on the promises they made but have somehow failed to implement those promises or even convey to the people the work that has actually happened on the ground.
However, some panellists are of the opinion that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aura has been undimmed and he is still considered the tallest leader in India today.
