Kolkata: In another incident of sycophancy, a police officer in West Bengal was caught turning waiter for the state chief minister Mamata Banerjee.

Officer in charge and IC of the police department Sushanto Rajbanshi was serving tea and refreshments to the CM and her team during a State event organised by the police department in West Midnapur area.

Regarding the incident the opposition parties are questioning the serious disrespect to the uniform saying the police have been used this way several times. This is untoward and unacceptable behaviour by the police force.  The ruling TMC is yet to speak out on this matter.

This is not the first incident of police abusing their uniform. Just a few months ago, another Trinamool leader Rajpal Singh was seen getting his shoe laces tied by his police body guard.

A staff member of Maharashtra BJP was also seen carrying slippers of rural development minister Pankaja Munde during her tour of drought-affected regions in the State.
