First arrested, Kiku Sharda now released on surety bond

Comedy Nights actor Kiku Sharda, who was earlier arrested for mimicking Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been released on surety bond of one lakh rupees.
The comedian was released following his arrest for allegedly insulting the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda by emulating him on the 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' show. Though Kiku Sharda did tender an apology on Twitter for imitating the Baba who is also an actor himself, he was, nevertheless, detained by the followers of Gurmeet Singh on the last episodes of the show.
This is not the first time a well-known personality has been imitated upon in the show, the show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has repeatedly telecasted various actors as comical emulations of famous personalities. The actor was booked under Section 295A for hurting the religious sentiments of the Dera Sacha Sauda group.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda who has acted in films like MSG: The Messenger, MSG-2: The Messenger. Since 23 September 1990, he has been the head of the India-based socio-spiritual organisation Dera Sacha Sauda.
