1984 SIT file 'goes missing'
New Delhi: NewsX has exclusively accessed the Delhi government’s official note revealing that a file pertaining to the constitution of Special Investigation Team (SIT) has gone missing.
NewsX has accessed the letter written by Deputy Secretary Home Department who had revealed that the SIT file related to the 1984 Punjab riots is untraceable. The letter has asked all concerned departments to search for the file.
Reacting over this issue, BJP leader RP Singh said that this has not only exposed how the Delhi government is exploiting the sentiments of the people but also how the government is running.
Congress party spokesperson Rashid Alvi criticised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and said that Kejriwal was doing this just for the purpose of the Punjab elections. He wants to show that he is very concerned for this issue.
Alvi also said that Congress party had constituted the Misra Commission and on the basis of the reports submitted by the constitution, action was taken by his government. He also said that cases were pending in the court and whosoever was responsible should definitely be punished.
