Modi, Pranab Mukherjee and Kejriwal greet nation on Republic Day

India celebrated its 67th Republic Day on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on Republic Day on Tuesday and said he saluted "all great personalities who framed our constitution".
"Republic Day greetings to all my fellow Indians," Modi tweeted.
"Tributes to all the great personalities who framed our Constitution. I salute Dr. Ambedkar for his efforts as chairman of the Drafting Committee," he added.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too greeted the nation and urged implementation of the Constitution "in spirit".
"Happy Republic Day. Lets pledge to follow and implement Babasaheb Ambedkar's Constitution in spirit," Kejriwal said in a tweet.
Tamil Nadu celebrated the 67th Republic Day with patriotic fervour, with Governor K. Rosaiah unfurling the tricolour at the Marina beach here.
He also took the salute from the armed forces and other security forces.
Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, her ministers and a large number of people enjoyed the colourful floats.
District collectors across the state unfurled the national flag and took salute from police contingents.
President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday greeted Australia and its people on their National Day.
"Warm greetings and felicitations to the government and people of Australia on their National Day," the president tweeted.
