PM Modi pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 67th death anniversary. On this day Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Nation was assassinated in Rajghat in the year 1948 shocking the whole nation.
"Salutations to beloved Bapu on his Punya Tithi,"  Modi said in a tweet.
The Prime Minister also remembered the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation and urged people to pay respect to them.
"Remembering the valour of all martyrs who gave their lives for the nation. Their sacrifices remain etched in our memory," PM Modi said. 
"Let us as a nation stand together in silence for two minutes at 11 a.m. today as a mark of respect towards our brave martyrs," PM Modi added.
PM Modi along with Vice President Hamid Ansari  was present in Rajpath  to pay tribute to the ‘Father of Nation’.
