PM Narendra Modi to attend Global Ayurveda Festival in Kerala

Kozhikode: Prime Minister Narendra Modi todsy visited Kozhikode in Kerala to attend the 3rd edition of the ongoing Global Ayurveda Festival. He was welcomed by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Governor P. Sathasivam along with senior BJP leaders at the international airport.
It is expected that he will also visit Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, to inaugurate the building of the ESIC Medical College and Hospital, and hand it over to the Tamil Nadu government.
After PM Modi arrived here, a group of Youth Congress activists protested near the Karipur Airport. According to reports, protestors were shouting slogans against PM Modi and carrying poster of Rohith Vemula, a Dalit student studyng at the University of Hyderabad, who committed suicide a few weeks ago.
This is the 3rd edition of Global Ayurveda Festival Kerala at Kozhikode being held from 31st January to 4th February 2016. It’s an international Ayurvedic biennial event which was started with a motive to serve as a force to stimulate Ayurvedic sector and to aspire, plan and achieve greater heights.
