New Delhi: In yet another incident of lapse in prime minister’s security, a 20-year-old woman was detained by Delhi Police on Wednesday for crossing a barricade put up on a route to PMO. She refused to clear the way for PM Narendra Modi's convoy.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jatin Narwal said the woman ran across the barricade on the Race Course Road around 2.15 pm and broke a flower pot in the process.
The woman, whose name has been withheld, is a resident of Sahibabad in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. She was trying to break open a barricade and when the police stopped her, she picked up a flower pot and threw it on the road just before the prime minister’s convoy.
"She has been detained for questioning. She only said she wanted to seek justice, but has not given any clear reason," an official reported.
