Uttar Pradesh BJP core committee is in the party headquarters in Delhi today to discuss strategies about upcoming elections and finalisation of Uttar Pradesh's BJP president.
The meeting is headed by Amit Mishra, President of BJP, along with several top BJP leaders from the state of Uttar Pradesh. The agenda of the meeting will be discussing the party’s strategy for Uttar Pradesh election which will be held next year.
The finalization of a state president will be taking place because UP's BJP president Lakshmikant Vajpayee’s term has to come to an end.
Since Amit shah took his charge for the second time as the BJP president, he has been holding meetings with every state that will be holding elections in the near future. Amit Shah has held meetings with Assam unit, West Bengal unit, Punjab unit. The newly reinstated BJP president will be meeting the Uttar Pradesh unit today.

As far as BJP's chances are concerned, the party is considered to be strongest in Uttar Pradesh. They have a year time in order to contemplate strategies ahead of these elections.
The main agenda of this core committee’s meeting will be to elect a new state-party president so that the newly elected president will initiate strategies with its organisational team for the upcoming UP elections.
