BSF shoots smugglers

The area was situated about 300 kilometres away from Chandigarh

The Border Security Forces (BSF) in the Khemkaran sector of Punjab's Tarn Taran district shot down four international smugglers. Of the four smugglers shot dead, two smugglers are identified as Pakistanis while the other two are Indian nationals.
The Border Security Forces seized a total of ten kilograms of heroin from the four international smugglers. Along with this quantity of heroin, the troopers also confiscated arms and ammunitions from the spot where the encounter took place.
Recurring exchanges of fire between the Border Security Forces and other elements has hitherto lead to the death of many terrorists and BSF troopers. Security has been pumped up following this fresh contact with international smugglers who are fully equipped to counter any threatening elements in their way.
The area was situated about 300 kilometres away from Chandigarh. A search of the area eventually led to the seizure of these contrabands.
