#NationalHeraldCase: Big embarrassment for Congress
NewsX has accessed Maharashtra government’s report appointed by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis to investigate the misuse of land which was allotted to Associate Journals Limited (AJL). The 20-page report holds the company responsible for using the land for commercial purposes which was actually allotted for building a research centre.
The report also establishes that an additional land was also allotted over and above the requirement of AJL. Despite the opposition by the then additional collector, this extra land was allotted to the Company.
This has come as a big embarrassment for the Congress which owns AJL. The panel has further asked the government to take legal action against the company.
Subramanian Swamy, senior BJP leader has sought action against the AJL Directors saying that the Maharashtra government must act.
Congress has refused to make any comment before seeing the report. Since the matter is sub-judiced, they would not like to comment on it before going through the report.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president moved the SC on February 4 against the summons issued to them by a trial court in the National Herald case filed by senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.

National Loot

This national loot should be heavily penalised over and above confiscating of disputed property. Being in power and looting national asset is much more a crime. India has to lead by example by awarding punishment heavier to send chills down the spine to entire political class.
