New Delhi: Trouble seems to be finally mounting up for former TERI chief RK Pachauri as Delhi Police is all set to file a charge sheet against him in the court next week. The 500-page chargesheet is expected to frame him. He has been found guilty over the allegations of sexual assault.
Meanwhile the second complainant has come out and alleged complicity on part of Delhi police. The complainant said that Pachauri's behavior was sexually charged and inappropriate. She added that the police is yet to approach her to record her statements over the incident.
“We have given our answer in the court. We won’t be able to comment more at this stage as matter is still in the court,” said Delhi police commissioner BS Bassi.
Commenting on the development, Congress leader PC Chacko said that police can take action if Pachauri is found guilty. He added that there is no serious followup from the authorities and the police will act only according to the evidences.
“The incident has once again raised questions over the system in this country, wherein it has been proved once again that a person of any status can get away after violating with a woman's body, or her dignity or respect,” said former NCW member Shamina Shafiq.
