Swachh Bharat irony: UP Babu caught urinating in the Ganga

Coming as a major embarrassment for Uttar Pradesh's furious campaign for a cleaner Ganga, a high-ranking UP Babu was caught on camera with his pants down urinating in the sacred Ganges river. 
Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has been an outspoken advocate of the Swachh Bharat campaign where a clean Ganga is on the state's highest agenda. This high-ranking Babu who has been caught urinating is himself a man who sloganeered for a Swachh Bharat.

Uttar Pradesh has been striving for an improved image of the state where cleanliness will play a pivotal role. But somehow, this incident where a man supporting a clean Ganga is caught urinating in the same river is being deemed as 'ironic'. 
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) is a campaign introduced by the Narendra Modi government covering 4,041 statutory cities and towns, to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country.
