Noida-based fashion designer missing since Monday, last call to police helpline

New Delhi: A 29-year-old Noida-based fashion designer has been missing Since Monday under mysterious circumstances shortly after she called the police helpline.
Shipra Malik, who runs a garments business, left her home from Sector 37 in Noida on Monday afternoon to go to Chandni Chowk in Delhi and has been untraceable since then. Her Maruti Swift Desire was found abandoned 500 metres away from her Noida home. Police have traced her last location as Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi from where she made a call to the police helpline.

Her husband, Chetan Malik, who is a builder, has filed a missing person report with the Noida police. The family has not received any ransom call but the possibility of a kidnapping cannot be ruled out. 
This is the second such incident in the Delhi-NCR area within a month. On February 10, Snapdeal executive Dipti Sarna had gone missing on her way home from office near Raj Nagar Extension area. Three days later, however, Sarna returned home after her abductors let her go.
