New Delhi: In a sensational twist to Shipra Malik abduction case after she was found on late friday night, police detained her younger brother and three of his friends over their involvement in the entire episode. Shipra Malik, the 29-year-old Noida-based fashion designer, who was missing since Monday, was found in Gurgaon at 2 am on Friday.

S Javeed Ahmad, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Noida, said that this could be a family conspiracy and not exactly a kidnapping case. According to reports, her brother had also mortagaged Shipra’s Mercedes.

Shipra Malik told cops that she escaped her abductors from a Gurgaon village and ran for three hours before she could reach any help.

Shipra Malik, who runs a garments business, left her home from Sector 37 in Noida on Monday afternoon to go to Chandni Chowk in Delhi and was untraceable since then. Her Maruti Swift Desire was found abandoned 500 metres away from her Noida home. Her last location on Monday was in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi, from where she made a call to the police helpline.

Her husband, Chetan Malik, who is a builder, then filed a missing person report with the Noida police.

This is the second such incident in the Delhi-NCR area within a month. On February 10, Snapdeal executive Dipti Sarna had gone missing on her way home from office near Raj Nagar Extension area. Three days later, however, Sarna returned home after her abductors let her go.
