26/11 case

New Delhi: Pakistan has asked New Delhi to send all the 24 Indian witnesses of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack to depose before the anti terrorism court.

There were witnesses on the Pakistani side as well as the Indian side for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case and Pakistan has asked 24 Indian witnesses to be sent to depose before the Pakistani court in the case, which is still pending.

The Foreign Ministry of Pakistan has written to the Indian government to asking it to send the 24 Indian witnesses to Pakistan for recording their statements in the trial court in the Mumbai attack case.

Questions are expected to be raised over this issue regarding whether there is any forward movement we can expect to happen in the Pakistani courts, given the way they have been dragging their feet over the 26/11 trial, and also over the security of these 24 Indian witnesses.

It remains to be seen whether or not it is another attempt on part of the Pakistani government to drag its feet when it comes to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case.
