Mamata Banerjee, kickstart poll campaigning from Malda

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be holding a ‘padayatra’ in Kolkata on March 8.
On March 9 she will be kickstarting her poll campaign from the Malda district of North Bengal, as per reports. Here she will be addressing a public meeting.
This incidentally will be Mamata’s first visit to Malda ever since riots singed the North Bengal town in January this year. She will be addressing 150 public rallies in the run up to the elections.
Following the March 10 rally, Mamata will also be holding a public meeting in Murshidabad.
During the rallies, Didi incidentally will be attacking the Congress-CPI(M) alliance in Malda and Murshidabad. Both these towns are Congress strongholds.
BJP too is strong is some areas of Murshidabad. The communal riots in December last year have lead to this change in the town. BJP had claimed that Trinamool was supporting communal forces for the benefit in the elections.
