New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday announced that Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandnephew Chandra Bose will contest against Mamata Banerjee in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the West Bengal state.

Chandra Bose had recently joined the BJP after Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the files on Netaji.

The BJP is seeking to use the proximity of Chandra Bose and the fact that being a descendent of Netaji Chandra Subhash Bose and a much loved hero across the country more so in West Bengal perhaps can dent Didi’s face in Bengal. However, it hasn’t really been announced whether or not Chandra Bose will be BJP’s CM candidate.

Reacting over this development, Subhas Chandra Bose’s nephew Ardhendu Bose said that he was extremely happy about the whole thing. They will all fight very hard and try to make sure that Chandra Bose comes through. Chandra Bose is a very efficient chap. However, it’s going to be very difficult  to unseat Mamata Banerjee, but there have some several rumours that Didi is not too confident in her constituency.
