New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her Pakistani counterpart, Sartaj Aziz will be meeting on Thursday at 2.30 pm. Both the foreign ministers are currently in Nepal for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) meet.
Pakistan has shown deep interest in having peace-related dialogue with India. Sartaj Aziz will also be handing over the SAARC summit invitation to Sushma Swaraj to be given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Other than this, the talks will also be related to Pathankot airbase attack and cross-border terrorism.
Both the ministers were seen having informal talks during the breakfast held for the SAARC meet participants.
On the face of it, Pakistan seems to be stimulating efforts to better the terse diplomatic relations the two countries share. Recently, Pakistan also informed India about 10 terrorists infiltrating into India from across the border.
Swaraj has clearly mentioned that the top-most priority of the dialogue would be terrorism and Pathankot attack update.
